MATURA WINE MAKING
“Terroir” inspired wine style and personality
According to Matura a winemaker’s new role is to bring out and maximize each wine’s personality, by optimizing the production resources that different “terroirs” put at his or her disposal, while respecting the environment. Past are the days when wines were made in the cellar to reflect the oenologist’s perspective; today they must be made in the vineyard, to interpret nature’s potential.
Matura Wine Making operates in the following fashion:
- Defining the wine style, translating different environmental and production factors into a wine’s taste profile that best satisfies current consumers’ needs and expectations;
- Making agronomic and harvesting decisions, that maximize the territory’s contributions to the characteristics of the grapes, and capture them at the right physiological stage for winemaking purposes;
- Establishing correct winemaking and aging techniques, to guarantee the achievement of the wines’ ideal quality, personality, style and longevity.
